The Annual Scholar Awards Luncheon for the Illinois Chapter of ARCS Foundation was held on Thursday, October 23d at the Standard Club of Chicago.  Members and guests met our newest class of ARCS scholars who were on hand to present posters of their research and talk one-on-one about their work.

The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Katherine L. Knight, Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.  Dr. Knight is the 2013 winner of the American Association of Immunolgy Lifetime Achievement Award.  The 2014 ARCS Illinois Person-of-the-Year Award was presented to Dr. Doina Roman, Executive Medical Director; General Medicine - Group Medical Director; Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
