Program at The Museum of Science and Industry

Posted on Saturday, August 27, 2011

Members of ARCS Foundation Chicago traveled to the Museum of Science & Industry on January 10, 2011, to experience the newly revitalized Science Storms exhibit.  We had a good crowd including six new member prospects – all of whom were delighted with the entire program.  We met with several members of

the museum staff before lunch for a wonderful presentation about the new installation and the various participatory exhibits while we watched Chicago school kids exploring the entire area.  After lunch, we had the opportunity to

roam through the hands-on “Tornado Alley” which was quite exciting; and the museum staff working throughout the exhibits made sure that our experience was not just fun, but of educational value.  This is a permanent exhibit, so we encourage all of you who might be planning to visit Chicago not to forget the Museum of Science and Industry.

A side-bar to Tornado Alley was a nearby special exhibit on the same floor that happened to be closing the day we were there.  It was a special tribute to Jim Henson's Muppet World.  For those of us who were muppet  fans, it was a special treat to bring back some great memories.
