Presentation "Art History and Conservation Online" by the Art Institute of Chicago. A project funded by the Getty Foundation.

The Art Institute of Chicago is deeply involved in developing digital publication tools and techniques which can bring art historical and conservation analystical work to a wide readership via their Online Scholarly Cataloguing Initiative (OSCI), a project funded by the Getty Foundation. 

The speaker, Sam Quigley, VP for Collection Management, Imaging and Information Technology at the Art Institute will introduce the beta version of the online publicatin and discuss the proces of how to collaborate with the departments of publications, imaging, conservation and the curatorial authors to preent their work, especially the multilayer image viewer whcih was developed specifically for this purpose.
