'Electronics for the Human Body' - Illinois Chapter Member/Guest Program and Lunch - April 27th

Posted on Friday, March 6, 2015

On April 27th members, guests, and scholars of the Illinois Chapter of ARCS Foundation enjoyed a stimulating day on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  The highlight was a presentation on "Electronics for the Human body" by esteemed innovator and McArthur Genius Award winner, Dr. John Rogers, Professor of Material Science and Engineering.  Professor Rogers was recently elected to the American Academy of Sciences and is one of the most "in demand" professors on the UIUC faculty.

Following lunch in the atrium of the Micro and Nanotechnology Lab, participants toured the Materials Research Laboratory and saw the abundance of high-tech equipment available to students at the University of Illinois.  A site visit to the Abbvie Innovation Center at the U of I Research Park concluded the day.
