The Chicago Academy of Sciences and its Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum

The Chicago Academy of Sciences located in Chicago's Lincoln Park opened its Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in the year 2000.  It is with special pleasure that the Illinois Chapter of the ARCS Foundation thanks the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for providing meeting space for our monthly Board meetings for many years.  It is a beautiful and well-equipped setting, and one which reminds us always of the vital connection between the children who are just beginning to understand the importance of natural science, and those dedicated ARCS Scholars whose scientific wonder has grown from awe to destiny through their research which we are proud to support.  Our thanks to the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for sharing our dream of a more innovative and inter-related scientific future for the children who may become the ARCS Foundation Scholars, and  for helping to make that scientific future happen through their partnership with ARCS Illinois Chapter.
