Story That Inspires Giving Webinar

This workshop will equip attendees with the tools to craft compelling stories and a clear, persuasive case for support. Participants will be introduced to storytelling and case statement basics, with an emphasis on translating mission and programs into key messages. Through interactive discussion, attendees will explore what makes fundraising messages compelling.

Pre-session questions will be shared in advance to help participants come prepared, and each attendee will receive follow-up handouts and resources. Participants will leave with a stronger framework and greater confidence in telling the ARCS story in a way that drives engagement and philanthropy.

Meet Our Speaker: Rebecca J. Zanatta

Rebecca Andrew Zanatta, President of RJZ Connections, Inc, brings nearly 30 years of experience building and stewarding strategic donor partnerships and has worked with over 180+ clients in her 14-year consulting career. She served in high-level development roles for organizations like the Pacific Science Center and the Washington State University Foundation. Rebecca has a deep understanding of everything from planning, building, and managing a diverse and successful major gift and capital campaign to implementing a realistic and focused strategic plan.

Rebecca graduated from Washington State University with a BA in organizational communication and holds an M.Ed. in higher education administration from the University of Idaho. She completed her Certificate in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from the Indiana University/Lilly School of Philanthropy.

Participating in community is an important value of Rebecca’s work. She is a past President of Northwest Development Officers Association (NDOA), now AFP – Advancement Northwest, the largest professional association of fundraisers in Washington State. Rebecca served as Adjunct Faculty at Seattle University in the Master in Nonprofit Leadership program and is a graduate of the Leadership Tomorrow program in Seattle. She serves as Chair of the Alpha Phi Foundation Board of Directors and is a member of the Leadership Tomorrow Board of Directors. Rebecca served as Chair and as a member of the WSU Foundation Board of Advocates. She lives in Walla Walla where she is engaged with the local and vibrant nonprofit community and enjoys drinking some good wine too!
